  • Housing Affordability

Passing legislation to support kit-homes was only a first step to addressing Washington’s housing crisis. Senator Wilson will continue to promote effective solutions for the housing crisis such as rent transparency and deterrents to squatting.

  • Transparency

As a member of the Sunshine committee Senator Wilson will continue to push for government transparency. But transparency should be applied to the voting process as well, with ballot identification to ensure that your vote is received and recorded.

  • Infrastructure Safety

In the wake of Baltimore’s Key Bridge collapse, Washington must turn its attention to its aging infrastructure and act pre-emptively to prevent a disaster. Senator Wilson plans to introduce a bill to study vulnerability of bridges on Washington waterways to impacts from commercial vessels with a major focus on pier protection.

  • Curbing the EV Mandate

Consumers should have the ability to choose what best fits their needs. Rather than mandating 100% zero emission vehicle sales by 2035, the government must recognize there is no one size fits all approach. Given the unique needs of rural Washingtonians and issues with EV ownership, Senator Wilson plans to introduce legislation challenging this out of touch mandate.
