As state senator, Jeff Wilson has made the challenges of the 19th district his first priority. During his first term, Senator Wilson made good on his campaign promises whether they were critical infrastructure projects such as the railway separation project in Aberdeen or leading the charge to implement fair and proper balances for local fisheries and related environment.

Senator Wilson stood up against environmental overreach - taking a strong stance against carbon tax schemes that create undue hardships for working families. He also initiated and led the charge to address the plague of rampant catalytic converter thefts across Washington.

A champion for local control, Senator Wilson created a task force for the closed Naselle Youth Camp facility which will make recommendations to Olympia rather than Olympia making these decisions for the local community. Senator Wilson also introduced legislation to address the operating and maintenance deficit of the Wahkiakum county ferry which acts as a vital bypass for State Route 4.

He remains steadfast in his commitment to promoting public safety, supporting first responders, and the men and women serving in our police force.

The 19th LD deserves to be treated as what we are - a largely rural district with conservative values at the heart of our communities. We're not Seattle, and Senator Wilson understands that.
